PetMart Pharmacy Launches New Website

(PRWEB) May 14, 2012

PetMart Pharmacy has recently launched a brand new site, owned and operated by licensed veterinarians and pharmacists. All of the products offered by PetMart Pharmacy have been tested and relied upon for years in real veterinary practices. Every health product for sale has received a “stamp of approval” from licensed veterinarians and is available at an affordable price.

The benefit of purchasing pet care products and medications from PetMart Pharmacy is having the peace of mind that each purchase is approved and recommended by a licensed veterinarian. The expertise of animal health professionals makes it easier for pet owners to know they are receiving top quality medications and products at the most competitive prices. The PetMart Pharmacy site is well organized to make finding the products they need quick and easy.

As the warmer months approach, and animals spend more time outdoors, there are increased incidences of skin issues, hotspots, matted fur, etc. as well as increased exposure to pests like fleas, ticks, heartworms, and mosquitos. It’s more important than ever during this time to provide pets with the care they require. PetMart Pharmacy offers pet owners an extensive list of preventative products and medications including flea and tick prevention, grooming products and health supplements.

For quality pet products and medications for cats and dogs, owners can visit http://www.PetMartPharmacy.com.

From Coast to Coast, Pets of the Homeless Brings a Little Sunshine into the Lives of the Homeless and Their Companions

Paco

Carson City, NV (PRWEB) April 01, 2012

Volunteers for Pets of the Homeless have recently been hard at work in the Sun Belt, partnering with local veterinarians to bring medical care to the pets of the less fortunate. In Florida, a volunteer for Pets of the Homeless encountered and contacted the national headquarters of the non-profit to get assistance for Paco, a Pomeranian living with his owner in a van behind a Florida Wal-Mart. Paco was in need of extensive dental work, and after contacting Community Animal Hospital of Royal Palm Beach, Fla., Dr. Randall Dugal performed dental surgery and administered vaccinations to little Paco. Dr. Dugal generously discounted nearly 50 percent from the more than $ 1,000 bill. Paco is now recuperating back with his owner.

A continent away in San Diego, Calif., Pets of the Homeless was at work again. Dee Dee, a cat living in a tent with her owner suffered a broken leg. A volunteer with Pets of the Homeless contacted Pet Hospital of North Park in San Diego. The hospital performed Dee Dee’s surgery and generously discounted more than $ 1,000 off the bill. The volunteer has kindly agreed to foster Dee Dee until she is fully healed.

Volunteers and veterinarians have charitably donated their time and offered discounts on veterinary services; however, the need for donations is ever present. Homelessness in the United States is as critical a dilemma as ever and many of the nation’s homeless care for animal companions. The need for pet food, vaccinations, surgeries, as well as spaying and neutering is massive, so time is critical. Anyone interested in joining the fight are urged to go to: petsofthehomeless.org to join, or for more information, email at info(at)petsofthehomeless(dot)org.

NC Zoo Exotic Animal Vets

We all know that there are major differences in the veterinary care delivered to pets and the care required for zoo animals. There are only 350 US veterinarians licensed to care for zoo animals. Exotic animal vets at the North Carolina Zoo often must tranquilize animals before treating them in holding areas or in the Vet Hospital.

Question by moon1: Should i take my old dog for dental cleaning?what should i do?
My dog just swallowed loosed canine tooth earlier this evening, and i was going to take him tomorrow for his blood work to dental cleaning, right now he has only 4 or 5 teeth left,

should i just live it alone?, he is 17 year and 7 month old, his last dental cleaning were last year, i really don’t want him to go through another anesthesia for his few teeth left~ and he is old aged~
But i still need to check the loosed or lost tooth right, make sure he don’t get infection?
Ok his tooth got lost, but there is no sign of bleeding why? because his old age ?
maybe i can ask the dr. for medication antiobotic or something, i really don’t want him to go through dental cleaning on his old age,. he eats well and he has no health problem~
sorry, my grammer is sucks~ it gets worse when i get nervous!
Today, i took my dog to vet to see his lost tooth and Dr. checked his inside the mouth and rest of few teeth, his teeth is fine and there arean’t any infection and swallolen, so he can go home safe, there is no need to go through dental cleaning cause he has only 4 or 5 teeth left, and he is old aged 17 year old but they check his overall health there aren’t any health issues, his kidney, heart, liver is in good shape, i can still feeding him soft diet and give him a mouth wash water additives~
Now i do less worry about his teeth, rest of years i wanted him to be happy and well, thank u all being concern~
